Rod joined the business as Executive Chairman in 2022 to lead and support the management team. Bringing with him a wealth of industry experience and expertise in brand building and strategic management, he has previously held senior leadership roles as Chief Executive Officer at service station operator Welcome Break and restaurant chain Sticks ‘n’ Sushi.
Prior to that, he had been at the helm of several growth businesses from TGI Fridays to Henry’s Café Bar and most notably Pret-A-Manger.
Karl joined NWTC in 2023, having spent 37 years in the hospitality industry working in roles covering service, training and development and human resources for businesses including TGI Fridays.
With specialisms in organisational culture, service design, people technology and transformation, he has fulfilled roles leading the people function most recently at Sticks ‘n’ Sushi, as Chief People Officer, and previously at Welcome Break as Director of People.

Jim joined NWTC as CFO in January 2019, having spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry. A graduate in Modern Languages, he trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young.
Jim has held roles as Finance Director of Pret A Manger and Yo!Sushi, as well as CFO of the Azzurri Group (owners of the Zizzi, ASK Italian and Coco di Mama brands).
Tim has 20 years of experience in property investment, development and construction. He is a Chartered Construction Manager and became Property Director in July 2016.
Tim has previously worked in asset management, private equity and development both as client and consultant which helps him to provide a greater understanding when approaching projects for NWTC.
Sales and Marketing Director
Pollyanna joined NWTC in 2023, and is responsible for all marketing, sales, and communications across the business. Prior to joining New World Polly ran a consultancy working across the full marketing mix.
Property Director: Tim McCormac
The Property department fuel our expansion and are the starting point behind each venue; from scouting the location, developing the plans and turning each site to a "home from home" for our guests (and teams alike).
Chief Operations Officer: Amber Wood
Amber joined NWTC in 2023, bringing with her a wealth of industry experience with expertise in strategic management and brand expansion, having previously held senior roles as Managing Director of relaxed dining-and-drinking brand Cosy Club and Head of Operations at Novus Leisure. Amber leads and supports the operations team as well as overseeing brand and marketing activity across the business.
Executive Chef: James Scott
The Kitchen are constantly creating new dishes and refining our world-famous classics, they ensure every guest experiences the very best of our menu.
Head of Bars: Kelly Harrison
The Bar department are the all-knowing experts that drink, breathe and sleep our refreshments; their exploration for new and exciting ingredients and their drive for excellence makes us extremely proud.
CFO: Jim Pickworth
The Finance department demonstrate organisation and efficiency. Reviewing over 100,000 invoices and producing over 500 site and department P&Ls a year their attention to detail and professionalism can’t be faulted.
