The Botanist Set To Blossom in Cornhill Quarter Lincoln

December 14th, 2018

The Botanist is set to head to the Cornhill Quarter in Lincoln, early 2020...

The new cocktail bar will be in the third phase of the Cornhill Quarter development, sitting opposite the recently refurbished Corn Exchange. It will be located together with the boutique Everyman Cinema, in a stunning full height glazed unit with external seating area within Exchange Square, which will be a new public space for the city.

The Botanist will transform the space into a botanical haven and offer an experience like no other.  Nestled within walls adorned with trinkets and plants it will be the perfect place to eat and drink in a relaxed but lively atmosphere

The collection of botanical cocktails, inspired from resident botanist’s travels across the globe, form an award-winning drinks menu. Each of the drinks stimulate the senses with the perfect combination of botanical flavours. Cocktail lovers will be captivated by the magnificent and theatrical presentation of The Botanist’s cocktails.

For Lincoln’s beer drinkers, over 60 world-class ales have been carefully curated in to The Ale Inventory; an extensive collection of ales and ciders accumulated for ultimate drinking pleasure. Each beer has been hand-picked for its different flavours and is a mix of well-known and artisan pours.

From casual catch ups to a sophisticated evening of drinking and dining, The Botanist’s vibrant atmosphere rises to each and every occasion. The Botanist Lincoln will be unlike anything else in its new neighbourhood, with live music every evening from our talented musicians.

This latest announcement follows news that work is close to completion on the second phase of the £70 million Cornhill Quarter redevelopment with Lakeland now open on mid Sincil Street

Chris Hill, CEO of New World Trading Company said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the people of Lincoln, especially as we know the community here has such a passion for food and drink. The combination of award-winning cocktails along with our extensive menu has something for everyone – and we’re positive The Botanist will bring a unique vibe to the city.”

The launch of The Botanist will create new job roles in Lincoln from management, to front of house and kitchen staff. Further information on recruitment will be announced in 2019 for those interested in joining this exciting brand, voted 7th in ‘The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2018’. Tim Bradford, Managing Director at Banks Long & Co, said: This is a high-quality, exciting brand for The Cornhill Quarter which will further enhance the scheme, and add to this thriving city centre development. We have had some fruitful discussions with a number of great brands who have now got Lincoln on their radar. We are looking forward to welcoming many more brands for the scheme and announcing more of the line up soon.

Ursula Lidbetter, Lincolnshire Co-op’s Chief Executive, commented: As this development progresses we can really see our vision for the heart of Lincoln coming together with a combination of national brands alongside existing and new local businesses. The Botanist is a great new name to add to the already exciting mix, and we look forward to welcoming local residents and people from further afield who want to experience a day or night out in our unique city.
