NWTC People Conference

NWTC People Conference

October 9th, 2017

In a world where businesses are fuelled by sales and revenue, the individuals who make the magic happen can be neglected and the attention to detail dismissed. Individuals who don’t feel valued can turn to concentrate on the interests of themselves and this in turn creates a toxic working environment.

Our New World ethos is completely contrasting to this out-dated perspective. Working alongside a CEO who began collecting glasses to developing a company that wins national awards. The foundations of NWTC are based on the experience of or distinguished directors and management teams who have all experience working hard from the bottom so approach their teams with that same understanding and mid-set.   We have, and want to continue to create, a work life culture that is based on compassionate love where helping the individuals actually benefits the collective. The warm and fuzzy feeling that only comes from the security and compassion of a family. We are driven by this goal to create a sense of love within our NWTC teams and overall culture.   Our award-winning HR team organised and led the entire conference which was held in Birmingham with  over 100 team member attendees, including all our general managers who invited two members of their teams. The aim of our first ever ‘People’s Conference’ was simple: To generate motivation and inspiration throughout our teams and bring together individuals from our sites where we could offer a platform to ask questions and educate *.   Throughout the day we were lucky enough to hear from external and internal speakers who covered a wide range of relevant topics; various psychology theories were explored and adapted to educate the attendees about personal and group development within the industry.   As the famous saying goes “Tell me I’ll forget, teach me I may remember but involve me and I will learn”. We want our growing family to continuously be that, a family. Ever growing, ever learning and proudly loving. By involving the individuals within our teams and by continually inspiring we hope our beliefs become those of the collective and in turn a unique and unrivalled working culture.

After the success of our first ever People Conference we are refreshed, rebooted and ready to relay our new found knowledge across departments and all our sites around the UK.

We are counting down the days until next year’s NWTC People Conference.
