The Houses - Pay as You Feel

The Houses - Pay as You Feel

January 20th, 2020

Pay-as-you-feel at The Houses this Blue Monday

Restaurant and bar, The Oast House in Manchester, alongside The Canal House Birmingham, The Club House Liverpool, and The Trading House London - all part of The New World Trading Company - are launching their inspiring Blue Monday campaign on 20th January 2020 designed to spread joy.

Historically (they say) Blue Monday is a well-noted day in the calendar when festive feelings have gone, dark nights seem darker, life pressures are more pressing, and we generally feel more negative emotions.

As part of their ‘Tryanuary’ campaign, all four venues have come together and teamed up with the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) to host a truly positive experience. All-day on Blue Monday 20th January, guests are invited to dine from the food menus, and - when ready to settle the bill - will be asked to, ‘pay how they feel.’ All the profits from the day will be donated to CALM - a movement against suicide, the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.   For the venues, this is all about inspiring positive thoughts by encouraging people to come out, spend time together and change the way we think and deal with negative emotions - all for a good cause.

Jack Jolly, National Campaign Manager, for NWTC said; “All the dishes are pay-as-you-feel, which means there are no set prices. Instead, you can select what you want to pay for your meal. The best bit is that all the proceeds on the dishes will go towards some of the amazing projects at CALM.”   This Blue Monday only, visit one of the participating venues and join the campaign that encourages you to ‘pay how you feel’ and help others in crisis.
