The Good Eggs of New World

The Good Eggs of New World

April 26th, 2019

We want to shout about our GOOD EGGS! The collective of egg-stra special human beings spread around New World who help support, look after and fundraise for local and national charities. These wonderful people work with their sites and communities to share the love and build incredible connections and network with those who do good!

The delightful Kerry Buckley from The Florist, Liverpool has gone above and beyond in providing all important and necessary events for Barnardo’s throughout 2019. From meeting with the incredible children’s charity, Kerry has scheduled in all events in Liverpool for throughout the year for The Florist, The Smugglers Cove and The Club House. Meaning that anyone who wants to get involved has a chance to participate. When asking her about how she established the events she said;

“I try to make each event different to cater to different children but we do have many who attend every event in which I am starting to bond with (they literally melt my heart!) and I get feedback off the kids at the end of each event to see what we can improve to make their time even better.”

Kelly’s vision was to meet with Barnardo’s to discuss the events that were most needed for the children, as well as what would be most enjoyed by all. By arranging an array of events across all sites she ensured that there was something for everyone that could help, inspire and spread joy. One of these event’s was targeted specifically to the young adults who were wanted to go into work to help better support their families. To avoid struggles and daunting applications she was inspired to host a Young Career’s Workshop where these young adults could come in and learn all about CV writing, practice mock interviews and prepare themselves and build their confidence for tackling the working world.

The Florist Liverpool also hosted an Easter Themed Arts and Crafts event for the little ones, allowing them to have time to be expressive, creative and have fun! Our two Florist Good Egg’s Tatjana and Kerry hosted the day consisting of bunny ear making, a dramatic dance off, followed by a group lunch and heartfelt farewell. But fear not! There are 3 more events pencilled in throughout the year so connection and love will continually flow in Liverpool throughout 2019 and we cannot wait to see all the incredibly special people we have met through Barnardo’s and these events.

Well done to Kerry, Tatjana and all the Good Eggs – the love you share and the joy you spread is contagious and you make New World very proud! Events like these make every day an adventure – what more could you want!
