Whispers are whirling around town of an after-hours apothecarist prescribing alternative ailments of the cocktail kind. Rumour has it, those whose curiosity leads them beneath will uncover records of forbidden plant ‘medicines’ and are treated accordingly.

Local gossip, Madeleine Waters, says:” It’s very much on the down-low, but I have it on good authority that doors will be opening this weekend.  Of course, I can neither confirm or deny alternative treatments, but I’ve heard the apothecary comes with exemplary qualifications and is highly sought after for his unique remedies. I’m sure all will be revealed quite soon.”

Neighbours of the historic Octagon building have reported hushed activity taking place in the recent weeks, and an increased number of covert deliveries of bottles, artefacts and instruments being ushered beneath. However, the management team at Milsom Place have remained enigmatic, offering no comment of such activity.

It’s believed that concoctions are created on site, to ‘Preserve the Mind’ and others that will act as a ‘Balm for Aged Skin’. If indeed it is true, then the ‘Elixir of Youth’ will be found beneath.
