NWTC Sets New Record At The Publican Awards 2017

March 15th, 2017

In the words of TV presenter and The Publican Award compere, Jonathan Ross, “Maybe New World Trading Company can just move their table upon to the stage.”

Last night, The New World Trading Company (NWTC) set a new record at The Publican Awards 2017 by winning a staggering SIX accolades, more than any other pub within the awards 26-year history.

NWTC won every category they were nominated in, which included Best Drinks Offer, Best Managed Pub Company, Best New Pub/Bar, Best Pub Operations, Best Pub Brand/Concept and Best Pub Employer (500 plus employees).

Chris Hill, Chief Executive Officer of NWTC, believes the incredible achievement is down to the hard work and passion of all the 1200 staff that work across the estate. NWTC operates under the brands of The Botanist, The Trading House, The Clubhouse, The Oast House and The Smugglers Cove.

Chris comments, “We have already had an exceptional start to the year and being recognised across the board is an unbelievable achievement. I am proud of every member of the New World Trading Company team from the incredible operations team through to those working at each site to ensure every customer has the best experience.”

Chris continues, “We have big plans for the rest of the year both internally with our revolutionary engagement scheme ‘Tribes’ and for our customers we have new pubs openings in Didsbury (Manchester), Reading and Birmingham. We can’t wait to get started.”

Overview of the award wins:

  • Best Drinks Offer: For a phenomenal and varied drinks offer that is carefully curated. When it comes to cocktails, no expense is spared on the theatre or quality. Some of the drinks require almost scientific skills to create.
  • Best Managed Pub Company: Customer service is at the core of NWTC’s culture, with managers and their teams encouraged to focus on the ‘main thing’ – a happy guest.
